Series: Habakkuk (Faith in Uncertainty)The Context
- Written during a violent, insecure time for Judah as the nation declined morally.
- Probably written after King Josiah’s death in 609 BC when Josiah’s wicked sons took the throne.
Questioning God's Inaction - How Long?
We are not alone in wondering how long until God will answer us.
- Psalm 13:1-2
- Revelation 6:9-10
- Zechariah 1:12
Conclusions
1) It is okay to not have all the answers.
2) It is okay to pray honestly.
3) Pray honestly to build trust in God.
- We must not trust ourselves or man (Proverbs 3:5-8; Psalm 118:8, 146:3).
- We should pour out our hearts to God (Psalm 62:7-8; Philippians 4:6-7).
