How did the Thessalonians do so well in affliction?

1) Faith, love, and hope weren't just theories for them (1:2-3)

2) They knew they were chosen by God (1:4-5)

3) They imitated the Lord and their teachers (1:5-6)

4) They lived out their suffering before others (1:7-9)

5) They waited for God's Son from heaven (1:9-10)
